Anyone who has used The Listening Program® will share their joy of hearing the rich compositions of Mozart, Haydn, Vivaldi and Danzi performed by the award-winning Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble. Our inTime listeners are stimulated with a blend of world music with diverse percussion, string, and wind instrumentation, which accents the power of rhythm and sound frequencies.
These programs are arranged, recorded, edited, sequenced and modified using exclusive sound processes within a protocol that harnesses the brain’s natural ability to change itself, which is neuroplasticity.
One of the keys to the effectiveness of The Listening Program is listening consistency, to allow the progressive zone training of the entire neurauditory system including the hearing (cochlea) and balance (vestibular) organs. With the right frequency (how often), intensity (how much), and duration (how long), we can convince the brain to make significant, long-lasting change through neuroplasticity.
Just like a physical fitness routine, if you are only going to the gym sporadically, you cannot expect positive outcomes. Brain training with our music listening therapy also requires commitment to a recommended protocol, involving listening to one or two daily sessions, fifteen or thirty minutes in length, 5 days per week.
To take full advantage of your brain’s neuroplasticity it’s important to listen to TLP consistently. Missing TLP sessions can delay the progress you could make. Sometimes life can get in the way, but we’ve made it easy to get back on track! Here are some guidelines for you to follow:
We hope this helps you better understand how The Listening Program can help you improve your brain.
Each time you complete a full cycle, which will take 10-20 weeks of listening, your brain will already have made changes, allowing you to better assimilate new information as you complete the next listening cycle, or begin a new TLP program.
Something that we have realized in the past two decades is that not only is it important to follow your listening schedule as closely as possible, it is also beneficial to listen again on a regular basis. Just as we cannot stop physical exercise and expect to maintain peak physical condition, our brain needs regular training as well. TLP can provide it with a beautiful, pleasurable challenge.
