inTime: An Overview

February 5, 2014 / 1711 /

So what exactly is inTime? We get asked this a lot. Briefly, it is a rhythm-based music listening method developed to influence brain performance.

Created by experts, inTime is an organic compilation of original compositions, based on a blend of world music with diverse percussion, string, and wind instrumentation, which accents the power of rhythm and sound frequencies.

inTime provides a personalized program of listening training and fun movement activities, using body, drum, and voice to help you keep your beat, and flow with the rhythms of daily life.

The brain is musical; neuroscience has proven through functional brain imaging that music engages more brain areas than anything else, and rhythm is the most important, fundamental aspect of music. Your brain health and brain-body connection depend on rhythm.

Engaging with the rhythm-based music of inTime will help stimulate rhythm awareness, focus, timing precision and adaptive responses to stress, all of which supply your brain with the highest quality of stimulation it needs for optimal function.

The Music
The original world music of inTime is entirely composed and played by Nacho Arimany. Recordings were done in High Definition sound within natural acoustic spaces. The signature inTime sound is achieved through masterful emphasis of orchestrated percussive rhythms and specified sound frequencies, created using over 100 instruments from cultures and regions around the globe. Who can benefit?
inTime was created to engage multiple brain regions through a combination of music, rhythm, and beat-based activities. inTime is used to help children, teens, and adults stimulate improve focus, rhythm & timing, and stress response.

One of the best ways to see how a program can help is through the experience of another. See what Gillian had to share about her experience as a participant in the inTime preliminary clinical trial.

“inTime is amazing. Within days of starting the program I felt calm and no longer had periods of profound sadness. My general outlook has changed and I feel that I can face the future. I became more motivated and energetic and was able to do things that I had been dreading. I also sleep better and am more refreshed on waking. I am able to focus on what needs to be done and the “brain fog” is gone.I want everyone I know to benefit from inTime. Thanks Advanced Brain Technologies, you’ve changed my life!“

~Gillian

Personalized
The inTime music programs are delivered using the Waves™ custom-made air and bone conduction audio system. inTime allows for complete personalization based on the needs and goals of the listener, with several protocols, listening schedules, and activity plans to choose from.

How long is the program?
inTime listening and optional activity sessions range from 9 to 27 minutes, once or twice daily. For best results, frequency of use is recommended at 5 times per week. Protocols can often be completed in twenty weeks. Most people will experience additional benefit from ongoing use.

Listening Activities
inTime has been designed to engage you with rhythm through its original music and movement activities. inTime’s music and activities provide the listener with opportunities to develop rhythm awareness, find “the beat”, keep it, and use it.

Activity options include body percussion, drumming, graded movement sequences, stillness, integration of voice and movement, rhythm and figure-ground discrimination, imagination and story, as well as improvisation.

What’s in the package?
inTime is delivered through the TLP with custom playlists system and includes:

• iPod Touch preloaded with the inTime music library
• Charging cable and AC adapter
• Guidebook
• Waves multi-sensory listening system

How do I get started with inTime?
