At Advanced Brain Technologies, our mission builds on over seventy-five years of dedication to improving brain performance. So, this month is especially important to us.
Brain Injury Awareness Month, Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month are all commemorated in March. These important initiatives aim to engaging public awareness through education, resources, and more.
The #ChangeYourMind campaign provides a platform for educating the general public about the incidence of brain injury and the needs of people with brain injuries and their families. The campaign also lends itself to outreach within the brain injury community to de-stigmatize the injury, empower those who have survived, and promote the many types of support that are available.
Visit biausa.org for more information. Each March, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) partners with Association for University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) to highlight the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life, as well as awareness to the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month in March brings attention to a group of disorders usually diagnosed in early childhood. Through advocacy, research, and education improved awareness breaks down the barriers many with CP face. Wear green in support of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. Green represents new growth and inspires a renewed life.
