A Bullied Girl Finds Healing With The Listening Program®

This success story is about Amiralin, who was bullied at school when she was in first grade. She experienced repeated acts of aggression from an older boy, which eventually affected her mental and physical health, and she was diagnosed with PTSD.

Her mother describes the frightening experiences Amiralin went through and how helpless she felt, especially when her daughter expressed thoughts of ending her life. She turned to her sister for comfort and advice. That was when she was introduced to Spectrum, which is part of The Listening Program® (TLP). Jacqueline Woolford is a TLP Certified Provider and works with patients of Allen T. Lewis, M.D., at the Sancta Familia Center for Integrative Medicine.

Someone can be involved in bullying whether it is as a victim, a bully, or someone who is both victim and bully. That involvement is one of the important factors that appear to increase the risk of suicidal thoughts among youths.
