Laurie Chuba, OTR/L

Laurie Chuba is the founder of Learning Integrations located in Northern Virginia. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois Medical Center, specializing in pediatrics.

Before moving to Virginia, she served as the Director of Occupational Therapy at Illinois State University Laboratory School. She provided evaluation and treatment of children in early childhood through high school programs and supervising OT and Special Education clinical work for university students.

Laurie has worked in many settings, including hospitals, schools, and pediatric clinics. In 2005 she established Learning Integrations, a functional Occupational Therapy practice providing support for both children and their families. Learning Integrations addresses traditional Occupational Therapy, academic performance, reading skills, parent coaching, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and practical life skill training.

Laurie is a veteran homeschooler, and provides academic support for struggling learners, and is a homeschool conference speaker. She is a member of several professional organizations, including AOTA and AMTA. She offers many therapeutic techniques, including certification in The Listening Program, Moyers Learning Ears, Handwriting Without Tears, and The Alert Program for Self Regulation. Continuing educational training has focused on mindfulness, social skills, academic support, sensory integration, and autism spectrum disorders.
