New study identifies thirteen emotions associated with music

Scientists at UC Berkeley have just published a new study on how music can evoke emotions. The subjects were from both the US and China, so had different cultural backgrounds and were accustomed to different genres of music and yet the same thirteen emotions were aroused in each group. Researchers were even able to map the responses.
