Alex and Mandy Doman traveled to Australia in May, to participate in two, day long Sensory Processing Disorder Conferences, which were followed by provider training courses taught by Alex and our Australian training team at Links to Learning. The SPD Foundation of Australia and Links to Learning put together two dynamic and informative days for the participants, and Alex Doman was able to update providers, parents and professionals on how The Listening Program can benefit people with sensory processing disorder. He also gave a interesting talk on the history of listening programs. It was wonderful to catch up with old friends who have been TLP providers since it was first introduced to Australia and New Zealand, as well as to meet newer providers and families.

We have just enjoyed two really successful SPD Australia Conferences in two of the most beautiful Australian beach settings, Manly Beach in NSW and Glenelg in SA.
The volume of words of praise and positive feedback, has certainly inspired all of us on the value of bringing therapists and families together for the benefit of all.
Our lineup of speakers and exhibitors was outstanding, they were able to share their wisdom with all our delegates. The pool of great minds gathered in one room was a huge testament to the valuable resources we have here in Australia.
The awareness of Sensory Processing Disorder took another great leap forward, something our children will certainly gain enormous benefit from.
One of the highlights was the amazing drumming session we had with “African Soul”: the energy in the room was incredible!
We then continued on with two days of TLP Professional Training where we were fortunate enough to have the expertise of Alex Doman. So many of our current providers relished the opportunity to meet Alex and to refresh and inspire their learning.
We look forward to celebrating another Conference in the future.
