On August 16th providers from around the globe gathered for the second Provider Teleseminar, an exciting new development in the ABT world. We had even more providers listen live for this second event, again introduced by our CEO Alex Doman, and led by Sheila Allen, MA, OT, who serves on our Scientific Advisory Board. This was an educational, one-hour call on "Autism Spectrum Disorders Program Planning." with special guest Kristin Selby Gonzalez, a leading advocate for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Kristin’s son Jaxon, now nine, started The Listening Program® when he was 5, and as she told the participants, she was very uncertain that he would even wear headphones at the time. To her delighted amazement Jaxon not only wore them (our ABT Bone Conduction System), but “melted like butter” as he listened to TLP. Jaxson has made tremendous progress in the ensuing years, still does TLP regularly, and actually asks for his music.

Sheila had some great tips for providers that definitely warrant listening for the full hour. We did set aside time for live questions, and before we knew it, the hour had come to an end.

This free Teleseminar will be archived in the Provider Resources area of the ABT website for providers who wanted to attend but were unable to. Once again, the list of questions we received from registrants was excellent, as were the topic suggestions that they provided. You are giving us great indications of what you want more information about, which will shape these events in the months to come.
