Advanced Brain Technologies first began to get involved in social media with Facebook and Twitter almost two years ago. We expected that it would help us introduce our company, share information with a larger audience, connect with our customers, and that has certainly happened. What we did not expect was that friendships would be forged based upon shared passions. We have been fortunate enough to find those who are as dedicated as we are to maximizing peoples’ potential and who have been great people to get to know. Since this issue is dedicated to the brain in honor of Brain Awareness Week, we would like to introduce you to one of those people who shares our dedication to all things brain, Erin Matlock, founder and CEO of Brain Pages™.
Erin first came to our attention through her popular Brain Training 101 website, which she created as a central place where readers could find the latest in brain training presented in a fun format. She designed it to be a place filled with articles, games and exercises that don’t require a graduate degree to comprehend. The site grew very quickly, and she soon realized, after handling many, many inquiries for referrals to different specialists, that there was a need for a website that could serve not only as a directory for brain related companies and specialists, but which could also provide an active community where people could share their own experiences as well as the latest information with one another.
Her new website is Brain Pages™, "The world’s first brain friendly directory and community." Brain Pages is a great new place to connect with others who want to know much more about neuroscience and are enthusiastic about sharing resources they find. If you are searching for a professional, company, clinic or other resource: the brain-friendly directory can be a great starting point. If you would like to be listed, or see that something or someone is not included that you think others would like to know about, your recommendations are welcomed. There are also plans to offer interviews with those who are actively involved with the field. The first interview on the new site was actually done with Alex Doman, our founder and CEO, and the audio is available there as well as on the Advanced Brain Technologies website (link).
We hope that you will visit Brain Pages, and take some time to explore the site and become a member. Please share with friends and others you think may benefit.
